PK Ramachandran's professional journey is marked by dedication and service, particularly in rubber cultivation. Starting as a Field Officer, he embarked on a distinguished career in the Rubber Board. He steadily rose, retiring as Joint Commissioner (Production) in 2014 after 35 years of service. His commitment to his role extended beyond Kerala, with notable assignments in Odisha, Assam, and various other states.

Following his retirement, Ramachandran continued to contribute to environmental and biodiversity initiatives. In 2018, he assumed the role of Ernakulam District Coordinator for the Kerala State Biodiversity Board, demonstrating his ongoing dedication to ecological preservation.

Ramachandran's involvement is not limited to professional pursuits; he has also played a crucial role in temple conservation and environmental advocacy. Serving as the Trust Vice-President and Temple Conservation Project Coordinator for the three-hundred-year-old, four-acre natural forest "Ponnakudam Kavu," he has actively contributed to preserving this significant ecological and cultural site.

As an environmentalist, Ramachandran has been at the forefront of temple conservation efforts, fostering nature observation and conducting biodiversity studies. His multifaceted contributions reflect a deep commitment to the symbiotic relationship between nature and culture, making him a prominent figure in environmental and conservation circles.
